Establishing of the business unit CAD at ZIEGLER-Instruments GmbH : development and sales of the CADdy CAD System for a wide range of engineering applications.

1992

The ZIEGLER group is founded: formation of the independent CAD company ZIEGLER-Informatics GmbH.

1995

Introduction of the new generation of CAD system called CADdy++.

1998

ZIEGLER 2000:with a new structure setting the Company`s sights on expansion – four business units are founded, one of them being MCAD division with its focus on mechanical design.

2001

The DataSolid GmbH is founded and takes over all rights for the software CADdy mechanical engineering and CADdy++ mechanical design of ZIEGLER-Informatics GmbH.

2002

In only 6 month time more than 80% of the ZIEGLER-Mechanical customers decided for DataSolid GmbH.

2003

DataSolid GmbH increases the sales in the PDM area by more then 180% and enters the Top-Ten-Reseller list of SmarTeam in Europe.

2004

The installed licences of CADdy++ Mechanical Design exceeds 100.000.

2006

DataSolid is made responsible for the SmarTeam support of SolidWorks customers in Germany and Austria. The sales in the PDM area is again more then doubled against the previous year.

2007

DataSolid enters into a strategic partnership with FACTON and completes his offer for the Mechanical Industry. FACTON analyses and evaluates the product models and determines the feasibility, the cost drivers and the anticipated manufacturing costs.
